A Message From Rod

Thanks for visiting. I hope the information you find here will allow me to earn your vote this May during the Republican Primary.

The first question you might have is “Why would a pastor run for political office?”  Many people today don’t realize that the overwhelming majority of the Founding Fathers were Christians.  In fact, 29 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence held what would be considered today Seminary or Bible school degrees.  It might surprise you to know that not a single Founding Father was secular in his worldview.  Our own North Carolina Constitution acknowledges “our dependence upon Him for the continuance of those blessings to us and our posterity…”  So it is natural that a person with a theology degree should serve in a political position.

I believe you want people who have worked hard and haven’t forgotten that every dime our government has comes from the sweat of people like you and me.  Article 1 Section 1 of our State Constitution states that it is self-evident that we have an inalienable right to enjoy “the fruits of their own labor …” a fact forgotten by many today.

As Chuck Colson aptly states, “now is the time to speak out and to remain vigilant in the face of the government’s enormous appetite for power over the lives and liberties of its citizens.”

I ask for your prayers, I’d love your vote and I could use your help.

Thank you,
Rod Chaney
